DAY TRIP
Friday 3rd May 2024
• On arrival we will be greeted by a member of the club and have Morning tea, in the former Officers’ Mess (now the Bowling Club).
• During morning tea we will have a guide talk about the history of the base during World War II and the men and women who served, illustrated with a presentation of original photos.
• After Morning Tea we will visit the nearby Catalina Memorial site – a short walk
away, overlooking Catalina Bay (depending on weather conditions and guests’ mobility).
• Following the visit to the Memorial we will re-board the bus where a knowledgeable guide will also be welcomed aboard and we will have a short guided tour of the base.
• Upon completion of the tour we will return to the Club for a Two course lunch (refreshments are available from the bar at guests own cost).
Included:
transport to and from Club Taree, complementary bottled water whilst in transit, Morning Tea, 2 Course Lunch and guided tour of the base.
